Don't forget the Nassau-suffolk challenge ride. This is a great training ride for the century, or for yourself. Great routes, good markings, good food,... what else can you ask for? You can register day of. They offer a metric century, 50 or 25 mile ride. This is a north shore ride, primarily in Nassau County, starting and ending in Harry Tappen Beach (just south of Sea Cliff) and is hilly. It is a charity ride for the Kiwanis to benefit Peiatric Trauma Center at North Shore University Hospital. There is no fund raising required -- registration fees go to the charity.
The weather is usually iffy for this ride. Not so this year -- forecast is for 80 degrees. A really good ride -- a must for B riders and above, or really anyone.
