I have learned of a charity bike ride to benefit the MS society. With the diversity of cycling interests and abilities in this club I thought it might have some appeal to some members.
The State Police are closing one lane of the Tappan Zee Bridge for cyclists to ride west, then the route goes north and will cross the Bear Mountain Bridge on the return to the starting point. There is a registration fee of $50 and an additional fundraising minimum of $125.

I checked with the organizers about the "the goat trail". It is a paved road, but it is steep and twisty, and suitable for road bikes.
