Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Full transparency: I am slow right now. That will change. But if you rip it, I will be dropped, which is cool. Or, we can stay together. We will see how it goes.
My HR monitoring is your Benefit. Gonna post a few B+ rides for now since Lee has been off the Bike. This will be a solid B+ pace with Maximum speed of 21/22mph on straights. I will post Route later. No one gets DROPPED. Start getting those legs ready for the season.
After ride prepare for some Lunges and body Squats and Jumping Jacks!
A slightly hilly ride to Copenhagen Bakery in Northport via Dix Hills/Vanderbilt rollers. Approx 1800-1900 ft of climbing over 40 miles. Food/Hydration/Rest Room stop at Copenhagen Bakery at approx mile 25. No one gets dropped - wait-ups after big climbs. Ride requires B+ effort but actual avg speed will be lower.
Call or txt if you would like to join (347-922-3824). Changes posted by 7:30am day of ride.
Meet at The Maples, for a ride onto the North Fork, and Jamesport. We'll have a stop in Jamesport at around 19 miles, at The Main Road Biscuit Company. (If biscuits aren't your thing, there are also a deli and a bakery in Jamesport).
Plan on a B+ pace on downwind legs, with more of a B pace on runs into the wind and uphill! This will be a no drop ride, where we ride together as a team. Please No Surges in the Pace; I'd like everyone to feel that they don't have to kill themselves to keep up!
The course outbound will take us through the fields to Sound Avenue and down into Jamesport. On the return, we'll ride on Peconic Bay Boulevard into Riverhead, where we'll pick up Route 24 for the last leg to Manorville.
I always appreciate knowing if anyone is joining me before I make the effort to drive out to the start; so if you plan on joining please text me 631 331 5642
Celebrate Spring with a ride that includes a stop at a Strong Island home made ice cream. This is the second in the Beginner Ride Series. This is a slow paced ride exploring side roads in Ronkonkoma, Nesconset, Hauppague and St. James. We will review the basics of riding in traffic and and with a group. No one os left behind and there is nothing to worry about as our team has been working with new riders for years.
Park in the rear of the lot across from Little Vincents and join us for one of Long Island's favorite slices after the ride (CASH ONLY).
