I rode a bit on the fire road (Red Trail) at Brookhaven State park yesterday before X-Cty skiing (on the Green trail) with some club members. The truck tracks were do'able on the Mtn. Bike. there will be no groomed Black Diamonds on this ride as the trail conditions will prove to be difficult enough. Check back here Thursday after noon when the location and trail condition info will be updated or the ride cancelled due to weather.

This is my 2nd Full Moon Mtn. Bike ride this year. We will be doing the Beginner/Intermediate trail. It will certainly be a Beginner/Intermediate ride. We will be doing at least one of the single black diamonds. Very structured ride! NOBODY left behind on night rides. Headlight or bar light is necessary but both are really preferred. Flares are NOT necessary as BJ's is really just a stroll through the woods. Safety hint: I always carry a whistle JIC. Dress appropriately. Don't discount the traffic on Rt. 347/Nesconset Hwy!
