NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

This will be part of the training for our century in June. Fairly flat ride with the exception of the Northvillen tanks up in Riverhead. We will be going out to Mattituck this is a different route than we've done before. Joe Depalma 631-235-9467.Ride with GPS: Vets Memorial to Mattituck 50.
ALL RIDE LEADERS LET'S GET TOGETHER AGAIN THIS YEAR FOR A TAIL GATE AT THE END OF YOUR RIDE.
This 21-25 mile ride will be at an 11.5-12.5 pace depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon and ride leaders disposition. No one gets left behind (unless your name is "noone") and newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Bring water and a snack as a back up to planned rest stops. Any cancellation will be before 7:30AM.
At the end of the ride we will be doing a tailgate get-together with many of our fellow club members.
A scenic ride to Netties (mile 23), for a break where we may bump into Gerry's group. Route may be the same or similar to Gerry's but slower!
This will be a mid level B- pace, adjusted to who shows up. No one left behind, we can adjust the speed as necessary.
Once we get back to our cars there will be an opportunity to tailgate and hang out with our friends from other groups. If you remember - bring something to share!
Welcome to the Multiverse, oops, the Multi-Level club rides. This one is the B/B+ level ride that also finishes at the SBRA tailgate party.
This will be a paceline ride, but it will be a friendly no-drop ride ! So no surges at the front!
We'll start the day by heading east out through Manorville, visiting Grumman Blvd., along the way. This leads us eventually to a stop at Nettie's Bakery, where we'll have a mid-ride stop and hopefully run into other riders. Then it's a return through Manorville along South Street and North Street, leading to a return run along River Road and Victory Avenue. The route will be a little different, so listen to the directions!
Ride starts at Southaven County Park and goes to Netties. This is a C+/B- ride, cruising at 15 to 16 mph to get an average of 13 to 14 mph. Any changes will be posted at least 90 minutes before the ride.
NEW START LOCATION: moved from "Rocky Point/Tildas" to the "new" Bike Trail head (East Side). Plenty of parking. As reference: Broadway Market is just next to it.
Join me for a good 60 mile ride, not your fast HYW ride, do not expect a 19+ average as of terrain and roads even labelled A unless we all push hard.
But expect or better said will enforce team work. A few dedicated "fun" sections, you will find out...
If you all do well, we can move as fast as you wish on the more open roads!
Brief stop at Iron Pier Beach Park.
Coffee option in Jamesport.

This 20 mile ride will be at an 11.3 - 11.8 pace depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon, etc. Exact route to be determined, but ther will be a rest stop and bathrooms available when/if needed. Bring a beverage for hydration and some money to purchase a snack if we use a bathroom inside a deli, a bakery, etc.
The number of riders is limited, so if you want to ride you must text me with your SBRA Member Number and Emergency Contact phone number. I will respond to your text and let you know if you have a spot on the ride. Once the ride is filled, I will change to post to indicate that.
At the end of the ride we will be doing a tailgate get-together with many of our fellow club members.
Do you want a slower, lower mileage ride? If so, I will lead one but I must know if you are planning to ride with me, otherwise I will go with Jeff. So please reply to this post or text me if you want to come. Tailgate after the ride.
