It is an A+ ride, which is a 52 mile loop down Dune road, with one brief stop in Southampton at Ye Olde Bake Shoppe (cash only), then back to Eastport via Red Creek, Pleasure drive, 51. Our average speed has been coming in between 21.5-22.5mph.
Our average speed should come in between 20 and 21mph, and our cruise should be 20 to 24mph--depending on the conditions. We’ll head out to Pleasure Drive, make a brief stop at Briermere Farms, and then head home via Routes 51 and 111. I hope to see you there.
Any cancelation will be posted by 6:30a on the day of the ride.

Time for another ride from Manorville out to Mattituck (MTM). We'll follow a flat to lightly rolling route out to Mattituck, hitting Main Road along the way. Then we'll have a food stop in Mattituck. We'll follow with Bay Avenue on the way home, for some views of Peconic Bay. Eventually we'll ride on Route 24 and Grumman Boulevard back home.
This will be a paceline ride. But, since it will be a little longer route, we'll drop the pace down half-a-step to B/B+.
Join me for this C+/B- ride, which will average 13.2 - 13.7. This is my new route and the distance will be around 26 to 27.As such, there will not be a cue sheet, and weather/wind could determine changes to the route. We will take our break at the Timber Point Golf Course, where snacks and bathrooms are available. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc.
Park on the south side of the train station.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.

We will be doing a scenic ride through Eastport, Remsenburg and Westhampton Beach. The average pace will be between 14.9 and 15.0 mph. +/- depending on the wind, road conditions, geese, ducks, squirrels, and rabbits. Road speed will be between 15 & 17 mph. We might end up with an extra mile or two, but that's it. Pulling is always appreciated. There will be a short break-a-way along Dune Road; we will not be going to the big bridge. Around mile 25/27 we’ll stop at the Beach Bakery for some goodies and a bathroom break before heading back to the start.
The average pace for the ride will be between 14.9 to 15.0 mph +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, rider ability, tailwinds, downhills, break-a-ways and other conditions. All of these conditions could change the final average one way or the other. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -17 mph.) to produce the average.
Any cancellation due to weather, or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0715 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...
