NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

Filling in for Mel this week, we will be doing his 3 Lake tour. Cruising at the lower end of the B+/A- range to get some needed recovery from our weekend rides. Hope to see you there!
Loving Southaven Park ride start with no dumps or Horseblock to Victory crossovers.
I have been posting B rides; however, the average final speed has been in the mid to low 16s. This is due largely to weather and who has shown up. I will adjust if either of those elements change. If you feel comfortable, and want to pull, great.
If you are interested in joining and have a chance, text me your vitals so I can sign you in. 631.804.0751
Off to Wildwood, bring your own food/drink or buy at Nick's Nook just before the park. Wildwood has picnic tables and indoor bathrooms. To join, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your SBRA, emergency and cell numbers, your full name and date of ride. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:00am.
Be sure to bring water and sun screen as the weather is now getting hotter. For this Flat ride the Average speed is 11-12.5mph depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition with a distance of 20-24 miles. Nobody gets left behind and newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Any cancellation will be by before 8:00am. No need to text me.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
Paek on south side of RR in lot across the street.
Join me for this evening ride around Ronkonkoma and the surrounding areas. This will be an easy C+, with a ride average between 12.0 - 12.7. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there will not be a cue sheet for this ride. There should be plenty of daylight for the ride, but it is recommended that you wear bright/reflective clothing and have working lights on your bike. Please be prompt getting to the ride start, so we may depart on time. PARK on the North side of the train station East of Main Terminal.
NOTE #1: You must be a club member to go on club rides.
NOTE #2: I am limiting the number of riders on my rides, so you MUST text me with your name & SBRA Member Number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled...CELL #: 631-523-2129
