NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

For this Flat ride the Average speed is 11.5-12.6mph depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition with a distance of 18-22 miles. Nobody gets left behind and newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Any cancellation will be before 8:00am. No need to text me.

Park in lot across from south side of station.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.

You can have a burger, fries and a beer for about $8.00. Beef tacos around 2-3 bucks. There is no charge for the fun! Somewhere in the schedule is happy hour. Before you can eat we have to do a ride. The ride goes from Medford to Yaphank and and back to the start via Woodside. Unless the wind direction dictates another route.

If you want to join us, but you are not riding please text me at 631.484.3490 by 1:00pm I need a head count for seating. I also need to know if you are coming on the ride. Text me please!

The average pace for the ride will be between 14.9 to 15.0 mph +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, rider ability, tailwinds, downhills, break-a-ways and other conditions. All of these conditions could change the final average one way or the other. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -16 mph.) to produce the average. 

Note: Please park along the West, East & South sides of the parking lot.  If the spots are full park on the North side of the street.

Any cancellation due to weather, or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 1230 if necessary. If you have question about the ride, or the menue just text me at 631.484.3490
