Ride out to Dunkin Donuts

This is the classic firehouse 44 route with an extention to include 51 & 111 for a total of 54 miles. This should be a steady and disciplined ride to increase endurance.  We'll try to stick to one minuite pulls. Feel free to download the route posted below.

Once again the wind is 18-21 mph during the ride. Too windy for me . Ride cancelled.

Today's Mi Tierrita ride will be going to the marina. If it's not too cold or windy we will go to the beach as usual. The route is mostly flat with a small incline here and there, and of course there must be one little hill. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.5 to 15.0 mph, depending on the roads and wind direction. The road speed will be between 15.0 and 16.0 mph. The usual break-a-ways will happen for those who desire. We'll stop along the way for a bathroom break around mile 10. Don’t forget to bring a snack. Do you know what AGUAPANELA is? For this Flat 18-22 mile ride the Average speed is 11-12mph depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition. Nobody gets left behind and newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Any cancellation will be before 8:30am. No need to text me.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready. 

Lets ride Rocky Point Trails before it gets too warm; this will be one of the last times before the fall.  We will do the main trail and several of the easier diamonds including all the Moguls, Dragon and maybe one or two others.  The group can decide whether to add Westside Loop which will add 4 more miles.  This ride is meant for intermediate riders at a moderate pace.  Meet in parking lot on Rocky Pt Rd, just north of Whiskey Rd.

Bring water and snacks. 

DEC permits required to display on windshield and on person.  If you don't have one go to the NYS DEC websidte and get one instantly on line; good for 3 years. Print 2 copies.
