For this Flat 20-25 mile ride the Average speed is 12-13mph depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition. Nobody gets left behind and newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Any cancellation will be before 8:00am. No need to text me.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
Today's Mi Tierrita ride will be going to the marina. If it's not too cold or windy we will go to the beach as usual. The route is mostly flat with a small incline here and there and of course there must be one little hill. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.9 to 15.0 +/- mph, depending on the roads and wind direction. The road speed will be between 15.5 and 17.0 mph. We'll stop along the way for a bathroom break around mile 10. Don’t forget to bring a snack. Do you know what AGUAPANELA is? Come and find out.
The average pace for the ride will be between 14.9 to 15.0 mph +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, rider ability, tailwinds, downhills, break-a-ways and other conditions. All of these conditions could change the final average one way or the other. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -17 mph.) to produce the average.
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0745 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just TEXT me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will do a meet and greet in a reasonable amount of time...

The change is dropping the speed to a C+. My road bike broke a cable so I will be using my much heavier mountain bike. Off to Bean and Bagel, with its indoor bathrooms and outdoor dining tent. To join this ride, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your SBRA#, full name and date of ride. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 08:30am.
Come join me at Veterans Park in Calverton ( the old Grumman site) to Bean & Bagelts. It is a B ride, averaging 15-16 MPH. The cruising speeds will be 16-19 to get the average.
I will wait-up whenever someone falls behind. No one will be dropped. If you want to join me please text me on my cell, 631-655-7801. I will let you know if you are in, or the ride is full. Please provide your name, SBRA, cell, and emergency numbers. Any changes to the ride will be posted by 8:30. The ride will be limited to 12 riders unless there is another ride leader joining me who wishes to split the ride. A quick ride around Strongs Neck, to Old Field and West Meadow beach, not necessarily in that order. I might do the route in the reverse direction for a change. Bring any snacks you want. No bathrooms until West Meadow Beach. This is a scenice ride; with rolling hills. Wait ups (for me) after hills.
Park on the right hand side, at the back of the car park. I appreciate knowing if anyone is joining me so if you get time please text 631 331 5642 - thanks!
