NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

This is the companion ride to the Kreb shop ride, route is to The Maples. No indoor restrooms available, and please bring adequate bottles/nutrition with you.
Sorry but changed and headed for the woods ... first time at Glacier this Fall so it will be a moderate pace and not the entire trail. I'll probably skip the Ridges and do CR83 trails, Dark Side of the Moon & Eclipse (before the leaves hide the loops), Hunter Trails and White Ghost.
Check back to this posting before leaving for the ride as Life Happens and Things Change.
This will be an easy and flat ride around Center Moriches, which will average 11.5 - 11.9. There are some very nice water views along the way. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Exact route will be determined as we go along, so no cue sheet.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
NOTE #1: You must be a club member to go on club rides.
NOTE #2: I am limiting the number of riders, so youMUST text me with your name & SBRA Member Number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled...CELL #: 631-523-2129
Setauket without the hills - well not any really big ones, lots of rollers. There is one long haul along Quaker and through the university, after that it is basically all down hill for the next 10 miles. The pace will be mid B- with waitups as required.
No bathrooms at the start but we can stop at West Meadow (mile 9). There is also a coffee shop by the station that we can stop at if you wish. Bring water and snack for nibbling along the way. No major break (it's getting too cold for that) but stops for replenishment of calories, drinking and nose blowing as needed.
I appreciate knowing who is coming along so please text me 631 331 5642 or email susan.m.sears at gmail.com If you don't have time just turn up, I will bring a sign in sheet. Check back morning or ride for any changes - life happens!
Off to Netties for their wonderful baked goods and indoor and outdoor eating areas. Restrooms are indoors. To join this ride, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036, with your full name and date of ride. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 08:00am.
