NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

This ride will start at the new Kreb Bike shop, 496 Montauk Highway, Eastport. Chris will graciously open the shop at 7:45 am for anyone who wants to purchase a new bike before the ride (or to use the new bathroom). There will be a 5 minute stop at Ponquogue Beach before the bridge and then we head off where we can make another senic stop at Meschutt Beach. Red Creek, Pleasure Drive and the Golf Course roads follow. Download the route or at least check it out, there is one loop that will be new to most of us. Hope to see you there!
Join me for this C+/B- ride, which will average 13.6 - 14.0. This is my new route and the distance will be around 26 to 27.As such, there will not be a cue sheet, and weather/wind could determine changes to the route. We will take our break at the Timber Point Golf Course, where snacks and bathrooms are available. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc.
Park on the south side of the train station.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
NOTE #1: You must be a club member to go on club rides.

Today's Mi Tierrita ride will be going to Smith’s Point. The route is mostly flat with a small incline here and there and of course there must be one little hill. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.8 to 15.0 +/- mph, depending on the roads and wind direction. The road speed will be between 15.5 and 17.0 mph.
We'll stop along the way for a bathroom break around mile 10. Don’t forget to bring a snack. Do you know what AGUAPANELA is? Come and find out.
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0730 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just TEXT me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will do a meet and greet in a reasonable amount of time...
We will stop at Brieremere where there are many snacks available to purchase as well as 'proper' bathrooms. The speed will be in the mid to high B- range, depending on the riders, the wind speed and any other factors we can think of. Bring plenty of water.
I may add more details/changes later so check back.
Hopefully the weather forecast is right this time:
Minimum of 18 miles-possibly 20
Pack a snack and drinks since there won't be a food stop. We'll go to Hecksher first for the restrooms/probably a lap around the park before heading to the beach.
