Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Join me for this C ride around parts of Stony Brook and St. James. The ride will average 11.5 - 11.9 and we will stop for a break at St. James Bagels (food and bathroom available).
This is the world-famous Shea Hill Ride. Since John & Robin will be hosting their grandkids that day, the random lottery of ride leaders has served up ME instead.
We start at a new location, The Maples bar parking lot, and at a later time now: 9am.
The usual wait-ups on the hilly sections, plus top of 51 and after we turn onto Halsey Manor Rd from 111. This route takes Mill Rd back to the Maples, rather than 111. Post-ride coffee commences at McDonald's in Manorville.
Off to Wildwood State Park, with a rest stop at Bean and Bagel. We will avoid most of the Grumman Trail due to the many wet leaves and small branches on the trail, from recent heavy winds and rain. For info: contact Bill G. at 631-356-3036. Check the ride calendar for changes, which will be posted by 07:45am.
Sorry, roads and trails are too wet/muddy. I'll reschedule for another day.
Casual ride around Belmont Lake State Park and then taking trail down to Babylon town docks. Short hydration break at dock before return trip. Great beginner ride. Trail can accommodate mountain, fat tire and cross bikes.
Changes posted by 9:00am. No need to be 20 mins early for this ride. Just be ready to roll by ride start time.
If anyone has any questions, please call my cell below.
Ride postponed to Wed due to wet and dangerous road conditions. Tacos are still a GO for today at 5:15pm. Check posting again before leaving for the ride as weather forecast seems very questionable again.
We'll either ride out to Corey Beach or out to Sayville with a few park loops at the end.
We'll meet up with Mike's group for Taco Tues at Jackson Hall which is right next to the ride start location (BoA-East Islip). $2 tacos and $5 margaritas all night long and other Happy Hour specials until 7pm.
No need to be 20 mins early - just be ready to ride by 4pm.
