NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Come out and join me for this ride from Bellport to the Beach. We will make a bathroom stop at Wertheim, then a quick stop at 7-11 for any snacks or beverages on our way to the beach.
This is a C+ ride, which will average 12.5 - 13.0, depending on the wind and the riders, and there will be cue sheets.
Note: If the winds are very strong, the destination of the ride may change.
I am always willing to try a new bakery. The ride mileage might be adjusted while I figure out a route from Veteran's park. I checked out their website, their menu looked wonderful. Let's give the Bartlets a try again. They offer a bit of a challenge for poor hill climbers like me, but if we push on through this ride a few times we should get stronger. The pace will be a B- until we hit the hills then it will be at whatever pace you can do and there will be a wait-up for me at the end of the Bartlets. Buy breakfast at the golf course or bring your own snack. Cancelations or changes will be posted by 8:30 am.
We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Great River, East Islip, and Bohemia for a 23 mile ride. The ride will be at a B- pace with an average speed of around 14.5 to 15mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 18mph.
Changes or cancelation will be posted by 1:00pm day of ride.

Skip the bar and come to Glacier Ridge for Happy Hour instead. Lights are required. If you don't have lights I have extras. First come first served for the lights. I entered ride as a B but will gauge the speed by the riders that show up. Nobody gets dropped and this is considered an introductory night ride. Night newbies are welcome.
