NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

This will be a C+ ride from Sayville, that will go through Patchogue toward Bellport. We will have a bathroom stop(s) and take our break at a deli in Patchogue (early breakfast special available) and then loop back around Sayville to the ride start.
This is a structured ride which will average 12.5 - 12.9.
NOTE: Park on the South Side of the train station.

C+/B- to the lighthouse in Oldfield and West Meadow Beach. Rest stop/ bathroom break at the beach
Get your hill practice served many different ways by the hills of the Three Villages. Our break is at West Meadow Beach; bring your own snack. Bathroom stop at the beach. On the non-hills, we expect to cruise at C+/B-. On the hills, each does his/her own best effort and we meet at the top — no pressure there. There are spots where faster riders can push ahead.

I thought we would change it up this week go to Middle Island today. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.0 and 15.0 mph +/- depending on the roads, wind direction and other conditions. The road speed will be between 14.5 and 16.5 mph. Around mile 17 we’re going to stop at the senior citizen discount bagel shop. There are a few places along the route where those who wish can stretch their legs a bit.

We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Great River and East Islip for a 22 mile ride. The ride will be at a B- pace with an average speed of around 14.5 to 15mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 18 mph.
Changes or cancelation will be posted by 2:00pm day of ride.

Ride around the Great River and Islip area with a loop in Heckscher Park and a short rest stop at Islip Beach. Cancellation for any reason will be posted by 3PM.
Patented Stony Brook Hills ride to Setauket, Pequot, Strongs Neck, Old Field. Short stops at OF lighthouse and West Meadow. Expected avg 13.5-14. Wait ups on hills, no one gets dropped. (Particularly the leader)
Ride 15-19 miles at an 10.5-11.5 pace until dusk. Wear bright gear and have lights. Newbies always welcome and nobody gets left behind. Park on South side of RR in lot across the street. Daylights burning so wheels down at 6:00. Any cancellation will be by 4:30.
