NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

We will be leaving Hermann Griem Park going out to Great River. We will take a quick break in Great River before heading back to the Park.
This is a B/B+ a ride with an average pace between 16 to 16.5 mph+/-, depending on the road conditions and wind direction. The road speed will be between 18 and 20 mph.

Come out and join me for an early 4th of July ride. We should be ahead of any "hot" temps or "late morning'' showers, while getting you back in time for BBQs, get-togethers, etc.!
This ride will be from Ronkonkoma to East Islip, which will get us on some newly paved (just this weekend) roads. We will take our break at the golf course, where beverages, food, and bathroom facilities are available.
This will be a C+ ride which will average 12.6 - 13.0.

Today's Mi Tierrita ride will be going to Smith’s Point. The route is mostly flat with a small incline here and there. The route on the way back may change depending on the wind.
The average pace for the ride will be between 14.5 to 15.0 mph+/-, depending on the roads and wind direction. The road speed will be between 15 and 17.0 mph. We'll stop along the way for a bathroom break around mile 10. Don’t forget to bring a snack for the stop along the way.

What better way to start the holiday, than heading out to Briermere Farms for some apple pie (no Chevrolet), or cherry pie...
This will be an even moderate-paced ride, with some pacelining thrown-in, (no surges please!). Don't worry, we'll make sure that you get home in time to burn the steak on the BBQ, and then set fire to the neighborhood with that secret stash of fireworks that you have hidden in the back of the garage!
Come on my C paced ride of 15-18 miles at 10.6-11.6mph. Newbies always welcome and nobody gets left behind. Any cancellation will be by 8:30am. Park on North side of RR at end of road. Bring water and a snack as route will be determined at ride start due to wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition. We will ride til 11am (to burn off the calories) so you can be back for that July 4th Bar-B-Que (where you can put back the calories).
See the many beaches of this Southold hamlet on mostly tree shaded and lightly traveled roads. The route is mostly flat but has some rolling hills near the end of the ride on Soundview Avenue. Please bring snacks for our break at South Harbor.
