NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. Update: Brian Toole is filling in for me this week.
Whilst John is vacationing, I will lead his world-famous Wednesday Hill Ride.....from the back. We will have the usual wait-ups in the usual places, as well at the top of 51.
If weather is in question that day, I will post delay or cancellation by 7:00am. Please text me with any questions.
Nice ride to the beach stopping for a bathroom break at the preserve then picking up snacks and on to the beach. Time change for the riders that couldn’t make it earlier.
This ride is about the post ride fun! We meet at the County center parking lot closest to Edwards Ave so it's a short walk to the post ride entertainment. The ride is the usual ride except we meet at the County Center.
After the ride we head into Riverhead where there are live bands, beer and food. At 9 the fireworks go off. One of the best show's out there! And beacuse we are parked on 51 it's a quick getaway. Last year our families met us and it was a lot of fun. If the A+ seems a bit fast I encourage other ride leades to post a ride along.
